Biodiversity bename to
all types of living organisms within a given area. Biodiversity includes
plants, animals, fungi, algae and other living things. A ordinary way to
measure biodiversity is to calculate the total number of species living within
a particular area. According to the this theory, The Daintree, Queensland,
Australia is the most biodiversity place on earth.
Famously known as the
place where ‘the rainforest contacts the Reef’, the Daintree, in North
Queensland is home to one of the largest ranges of animals and plants on earth.
In Queensland, tourism has become an important employer. Daintree became famous
for early morning visits on the Daintree River and became most popular with birdwatchers.
In 1986 Queensland become a world heritage site, because of Daintree is part of
the wet tropics and the most famous national park close to the tourism hub of
Port Douglas. The tropical rainforest ecosystem of the Daintree Rainforest is
one of the most divers on Earth. Which area includes the Daintree National
Park, some parts of State Forest, and some privately owned land, including a
residential community.
Estuarine Crocodile is one
of the most well-known animals living in the Daintree Rainforest area. There
are many native species inhabitant on Daintree Rainforest. Some of species such
as Southern Cassowary, Lumholtz Tree Kangaroos, Musky Rat-Kangaroo, Daintree
River Ringtail Possum, Buff Breasted Paradise Kingfisher, Lesser Sooty Owl, Ulysses
Butterfly, Boyd’s Forest Dragon, Spotted-tailed Quoll and White-tailed Rat are
more common in this area.
In addition of biological significant, there is outstanding
coastal scenery which combine with tropical rainforest, also white sandy
beaches and fringing reefs just offshore link with Daintree. This is an
extremely rare combination.
