Most Biodiverse Place on Earth - The Daintree, Queensland, Australia

Biodiversity bename to all types of living organisms within a given area. Biodiversity includes plants, animals, fungi, algae and other living things. A ordinary way to measure biodiversity is to calculate the total number of species living within a particular area. According to the this theory, The Daintree, Queensland, Australia is the most biodiversity place on earth.

Famously known as the place where ‘the rainforest contacts the Reef’, the Daintree, in North Queensland is home to one of the largest ranges of animals and plants on earth. In Queensland, tourism has become an important employer. Daintree became famous for early morning visits on the Daintree River and became most popular with birdwatchers. In 1986 Queensland become a world heritage site, because of Daintree is part of the wet tropics and the most famous national park close to the tourism hub of Port Douglas. The tropical rainforest ecosystem of the Daintree Rainforest is one of the most divers on Earth. Which area includes the Daintree National Park, some parts of State Forest, and some privately owned land, including a residential community.

 


Estuarine Crocodile is one of the most well-known animals living in the Daintree Rainforest area. There are many native species inhabitant on Daintree Rainforest. Some of species such as Southern Cassowary, Lumholtz Tree Kangaroos, Musky Rat-Kangaroo, Daintree River Ringtail Possum, Buff Breasted Paradise Kingfisher, Lesser Sooty Owl, Ulysses Butterfly, Boyd’s Forest Dragon, Spotted-tailed Quoll and White-tailed Rat are more common in this area. 

 


In addition of  biological significant, there is outstanding coastal scenery which combine with tropical rainforest, also white sandy beaches and fringing reefs just offshore link with Daintree. This is an extremely rare combination.
